Our Story
The term IT Transformation can mean different things to different people.
An IT Transformation can come in all sizes. They can be global and all encompassing or they can be local and targeted.
But there is one thing that is always true of an IT Transformation – it can only happen from the inside out.
You cannot outsource a transformational effort. You cannot bring in a consulting company and let them magically transform your organization. The transformation of an IT organization requires the intense commitment of everyone in the organization from the trenches to the executive suite. It requires deep levels of engagement and the willingness to challenge the status quo.
But just because it must happen from within, does not mean that you are on your own.
The IT Transformation Institute exists to provide you the knowledge, coaching, tools and resources that you need to execute a successful transformational program. We exist to motivate, educate and facilitate IT organizations as they embark on their transformational journey.
Our Journey
Our story is a transformational journey of its own. We began as CastlePointe, a traditional IT consulting firm focused on IT efficiency, process improvement and governance. While we enjoyed many years of success, we found that many of our clients were not realizing the full benefits of their efforts. We realized that it was because while the focus was typically on the process or the technology, the area that needed the greatest attention was in changing the behaviors, attitudes and perspectives of the people that worked in IT organizations.
In 2009, we began focusing exclusively on helping IT organizations lead and execute transformational programs. But we found that our traditional consulting models were not working well. To many clients, the term consulting implied that we would be “doing the work,” but the hard work of transformation had to be done by the organization itself. So we focused instead on education, on facilitating workshops and on coaching teams through the process.
Along the way, we developed our proprietary methodology for executing IT Transformation Programs, which we call DeepRoots™. We found that this combination of education, facilitated workshops, coaching and access to the guides and templates of our DeepRoots™ methodology was the perfect combination of tools that organizations needed to help transform themselves.
The formation of The IT Transformation Institute was really just the final reflection of who we had already become. We are committed to helping IT leaders, managers and professionals fundamentally improve how they operate and to increase the value that they provide to their customers. Through our unique combination of resources, we provide our members and clients with the tools they need to create lasting change within their organizations.
There is no magic bullet. An IT Transformation takes hard work. But it is work that must be done in order for IT to thrive in the modern era of business. And we are proud to be here to help you do it.
