Assessments on-targetTo get someplace, it is helpful to know where you are starting from. Assessments are the tool that can help you figure out where you are at so that you can figure out how to get where you are going. But most assessments focus on existing operational functions: Service Delivery, Compliance or Process Management. Great to help you improve your existing environment. But, they really do not help you get to the “Next Generation if IT” that is being required by your Business Unit customer.
The IT Transformation Institute has decided to develop a new series of assessments in support of the “Next Generation of IT”. These assessments are designed to measure the skills and traits demonstrated by the leading edge companies. They will allow you to examine different aspects of your organization and identify areas for improve to help you lead your Organization into the future.
One size does NOT fit all, especially when it comes to assessments. So we have decided to create our assessments in three different formats and provide scalability for different size IT Organizations.

You, your peers, your subordinates, and your customers all have a different perspective on the capabilities of your organization. Let us provide an external perspective. Our Organizational Capability assessment can provide you with a scorecard of your organization’s strengths and weaknesses. This assessment will help you target areas for focused improvement. Make your commitments based on what you know your organization is capable of achieving and target your investments to areas that really need the help.
The IT Organization of the future will look very different. With the consumerization of IT, being the technological guru is no longer good enough. Your organization must not just understand the business; they must become a logical extension of the business. Those organizations that have been successful have certain traits in common. This assessment will measure your organization against these traits and provide suggested areas for development.
As we move into the future, do your people have the critical “Next Generation” IT Skills required? The business is looking for more than technological excellence. They are looking for people who understand the financials; provide critical thinking on current issues; and innovation in overcoming obstacles. They want Leaders with excellent collaboration and communication skills. This assessment will identify critical skill gaps in your people and suggest a development plan.
Your organization captures volumes of data and produces hundreds of reports. Are any of these metrics actually used to manage your business? When faced with critical business decisions, do you reference any of these reports? Or, is someone assigned to gather additional data? Our assessment will show you which metrics currently provide value and identify critical gaps in what you are measuring.
Why You Need This Assessment
You have done your ITIL / IT Service Management Assessment. You have implemented the recommended technology and / or process improvements, but you are not getting the results you anticipated. Our assessment will determine WHY your changes are not being accepted in your organization and provide a blueprint to improve adoption.

Automated Assessment: This is an on-line survey that can be taken by a single individual with a limited question set from the full On-Line Assessment. You will receive an automated score and assessment based on your responses. This assessment will provide you with an excellent idea of what will be assessed and the type of report you will receive from a full On-Line or Facilitated Assessment. This type of assessment is available for FREE for individuals to join our mailing list.
On-Line Assessment: This assessment is conducted through our on-line survey system but include the full question set. You will identify the numbers and the individuals you want to take this assessment. The individuals will receive emails asking them to record their responses. After a week (or longer), the responses are analyzed and summarized. A detailed score card and report is provided. The cost of this assessment is based on the number of participants. There is also an optional to receive a “live” readout of the results.
Facilitated Assessment: This assessment will use the online survey tool to gather data from up to 200 people. In addition, up to 20 of the most important people will be interviewed by an assessor. In addition to collecting their responses to questions, this assessor will be collecting additional data for inclusion in the final report. Generation of statistical results will be automated, but an analyst will produce an assessment report with recommendations. This type of assessment will also include an executive readout session.
